Call for Demos

PSIVT2009 will host demonstrations. The purpose of demos is to give researchers the opportunity for showcase live demonstrations of their contributions. Demonstrations will feature cutting edge works and works in progress in every area related with PSIVT.

All submissions will be evaluated based on originality, technical soundness, and clarity of explanation. Demonstrators will be provided with space for equipment and/or posters. One time-slot in the conference session will be assigned for the demonstrations, but the space for the demonstrations can be used during the entire conference. Demonstrators will be required to bring their own computing equipment and any additional display, sensor, and hardware needed for the demonstration by their own expense.

Submission Instruction

At least one of the people presenting the demo must be registered for the conference at a non-student rate. The conference also reserves the right to select demonstrations based on the degree of appropriateness for PSIVT and on their scientific content. Demonstrations can be made with the help of industrial partners, but commercial products should be presented as part of the PSIVT exhibits, rather than demonstrations.

What to Submit

• Submissions must be in English and at most two pages in IEEE proceeding style (double-columned pages) including references and figures. The demonstration summary will be included into the workshop (WCVIM) CD-ROM proceedings.

  Submissions should include:

  • Author names, affiliations, and contact information
  • A brief description of the demonstrated system
  • A summary of the novel characteristics of the demonstration and the significance of the contribution to multimedia technology, applications, or systems
  • Comparisons with related systems

• You are encouraged to provide a link to your demonstration website that describes or illustrates the demonstration by containing a video demonstration, a MS PowerPoint presentation, and/or a Macromedia Flash presentation, etc.

Where to Submit

Your demonstration proposal should be submitted to psivt2009-demos at nii.ac.jp (replace 'at' by '@').

Call for Exhibits

PSIVT2009 cordially invites prospective exhibitors to submit a short notice about intended exhibition subject and required space (also including specifications of specific needs) via e-mail to psivt2009 at nii.ac.jp (replace 'at' by '@').

In the event that there are more applications than the available space allows, time of submission of the complete application will be used in selection. The conference also reserves the right to select exhibits based on degree of appropriateness for PSIVT.

Provided Materials

PSIVT2009 will provide exhibitors with exhibit space, in a special area of the conference venue. Some materials such as tables (1500mm width), two chairs, poster boards (900mm width), and electric power (AC100V/60Hz 5A max). Other resources are negotiable with additional cost upon exhibitor's request.
The fee will be 150,000 JPY, which includes a space with basic facilities and the registration fee until two persons.
